Over half of the United States counties have had zero COVID-19 deaths.

The Heritage Foundation published an article recently that highlighted areas in the United States that have zero COVID-19 deaths to the highest death areas. The majority of COVID-19 deaths have occurred in very few counties in the United States.

New York and New Jersey account for just under 40% of all COVID-19 cases and a little less than 50% of all COVID-19 deaths. Ten states have 70% of all COVID-19 cases and a slightly under 80% of all COVID-19 deaths.

Less than 1% of the counties (30) in the United States have just over 50% of confirmed cases and almost 60% of all COVID-19 deaths. 24 of these counties are between Boston and Philadelphia. 11% of all U. S. counties have accounted for 95% of all COVID-19 deaths.

52% of United States counties (1,630) have had zero deaths. 14% of all counties (447) have reported a single COVID-19 death. Likewise, another 14% of all counties (443) have had less than five COVID-19 deaths. 6% of American counties (183) have recorded less than ten COVID-19 deaths.

Two out of every three counties in the United States have recorded only a single COVID-19 death or less. 80% of all counties have five COVID-19 deaths or less.
