The fountain of youth is within our bodies.

We actually own the fountain of youth. It is not a physical fountain. The fountain of youth for all of us involves making the right decisions to counter the effects of aging. Aging causes our bodies to produce less human growth hormone (HGH) each year. However, there are several things we can to stop the declining production of HGH.

We need exercise to become younger. Exercise is defined in many ways – strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, etc. Exercise improves cardiovascular health. Exercise, when properly done, increases the levels of HGH in our bodies. Exercise reduces psychological stress. Many of us fail to address the stress in our bodies on a daily basis.

Exercise enhances our health and wellness in many ways. Some people do it for the fun of it. Others do it for weight control. Others do it to maintain fitness. Still others do it for stress relief. Exercise should be part of our daily routine. By daily routine, I mean every day of our lives. It doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym every day. But it does mean you have to perform various exercises daily.

Endurance and intensity are critical for increasing the HGH levels in our bodies. Exercise duration and frequency are also important. Exercise frequency should be daily, worst case six days a week. Exercise duration should be at least twenty minutes – forty minutes would be better.

The exercise intensity should include both aerobic (using oxygen) and anaerobic (not using oxygen). Aerobic exercises include running, walking, and swimming. Anaerobic exercises include weight lifting, sprinting and jumping.

There is a delicate balance between too much exercise and enough to increases HGH levels. Exercising too hard or too long will have a reverse effect on HGH production. Exercise often. Change your routine when needed. Exercise smart. Get a partner or a trainer. Do what you have to do to develop a daily exercise regimen.
