I read a headline this morning that the average millionaire has seven sources of income. It got me to thinking about several things. Most of us get used to using the same tools to do the same job. Many years ago, I added a knife to my fork to fry bacon. I had always used a fork previously. I found that adding an extra tool made the job of frying bacon much easier.

My mother was a secretary/clerical person for decades. Yet, she would never learn to use a computer. My father used to call me in the middle of the night to ask questions on dBase 3 programming. He adopted to new technology easier than my mother. We have our fixed habits and we rarely venture outside our comfort zone for doing our daily tasks.

There are many small things that we should be doing daily that we don’t that could improve our health. How many times have you heard about doing stress relief exercises daily? How many times have you heard to chew your food thoroughly? How many times have you heard to exercise daily? This list goes on and on.

Balanced nutrition ensures that you don’t have any nutritional deficiencies that can lead to disease years down the road. Exercising daily improves your health in your older years. Fasting intermittently (at least twelve hours daily) yields many health benefits. These are simple things that we should be doing every day.

Even simpler, learn how to breathe. People who learn how to breather are never sick a day in their lives. They have a lot of oxygen in their bloodstream that fights fungi, bacteria, viruses, etc. There are many little things that we can do daily that yields great health rewards as we age.

Make small changes daily to gradually move outside your comfort zone. Learn what makes a difference for greater health in your old age and start today making those changes.
