A drug used to stop bleeding in surgery may stop coronavirus from spreading.

Coronavirus molecules enter our bodies and spread. Within 24 hours, the virus has spread exponentially. We might be able to stop the virus from entering a cell, but it looks like an existing drug might be able to stop it from replicating and growing in our bodies

How many vaccines are going to be accepted by the public is unknown. The expedited research, development, and evaluation phases that normally take five to ten years have been compressed into months. This is phenomenal!

However, it does not engender safety in the minds of those who want to know how long the vaccine will last, the side effects, and the risk of death with those having pre-existing conditions. These unknowns are not worth the risk to many.

Aprotinin inhibits fibrinolysis, the breaking down of blood clots. It is used during surgery to reduce the risk of bleeding. It is hoped that aprotinin can prevent a mild case of COVID-19 from becoming a severe case by stopping the ability of the virus to spread.

Aprotinin is a promising, approved drug that can stop the formation of blood clots and prevents the replication process in the coronavirus. Side effects are well known and caused this drug to be withdrawn from the worldwide market.

Does an aerosol version provide the same side effects? It has been approved for influenza for its protease inhibition, not the fibrinolytic effects. Treatment in the nasal passages and lungs may not produce the same serious side effects.
